After months of uncertainty, the freeze on federal education formula funds — including Titles I through IV and block grants — has officially been lifted. Thanks to bipartisan advocacy and major efforts from national education organizations, these critical dollars are now flowing back to states. But the real story may lie in what’s next: a newly proposed block grant structure in the President’s budget, and a groundbreaking opportunity for both public and private schools to benefit from dollar-for-dollar education tax donations.
In this video, Susan from K20Connect breaks down what’s happening in education finance, including the little-covered implications of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBA), the rise of Scholarship Granting Organizations (SGOs), and how districts and providers can position themselves to access billions in new funding projected to reach schools by 2027.
