At the recent Digital Learning Annual Conference (DLAC), I
had the opportunity to present on this exciting frontier, sharing how AI can streamline course development, personalize learning experiences, and empower educators to focus on what truly matters—learner mastery.
Why AI in Competency-Based Education? Traditional education often follows a fixed pace, treating all learners the same regardless of their
unique strengths and challenges. In contrast, CBE shifts the focus to mastery, allowing learners to progress once they demonstrate competency. However, implementing CBE effectively can be a heavy lift, requiring personalized pathways, real-time feedback, and adaptive assessments.
